Join us on this journey from I-95, to I-75, to I-4 as we travel around the state of Florida in search of the best honeymoon destinations in Florida, according to us anyway!
Number 5 – St. Augustine
This historic city is nestled just northeast of Orlando. It is considered the oldest city in the country. The city is often referred to as a haunted city. There are many ghost tours throughout the city, old museums and even Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! There are small, hidden alleyways through the center of the city with tons of shops and restaurants. There are plenty of romantic places to stay! Even if you do not decide to honeymoon in St. Augustine, you have to at least make a trip!
Number 4 – Orlando
Orlando is one of the most iconic tourist destinations in the world. People travel from all over the globe to visit Disney World. Upgrades and new attractions are added all the time in “The City Beautiful”! Just over 2 years ago The Orlando Eye was opened, which is comparable to the world famous London Eye. There are plenty of romantic places you can picnic at, like Lake Eola, which is right in the middle of Downtown Orlando!
Number 3 – Clearwater
The name of this beautiful beach couldn’t hold more true. I have visited many beaches up and down the east and west coast of Florida. Clearwater lives up to it’s name, the water is so clear you can see the fish swimming by your feet. There are several award winning restaurants in this incredible beach town.
Number 2 – Siesta Key
Siesta Key, Florida sits south of Sarasota. This area is also on the Gulf of Mexico. It’s just a short drive from the beautiful Myakka River State Park. I would recommend dinner at The Cottage then wrap up the night at the Siesta Key Wine Bar.
Finally …
Number 1 – According to a Kissimmee Wedding DJ – Key West
The world famous Key West is our number one recommendation for your honeymoon. Indulge in a delicious slice of Key Lime Pie that you can get on almost any corner. Walk the streets with the wild chickens. Dip your toes in the tropical waters, and take a picture at the iconic southern-most point in the United States of America. There are tons of full-service 5 star resorts to relax in, too!
